Copper alloy band with two registers of a frieze punched onto one side. The upper register shows a saint on horse-back with nimbus and cross, spread eagles and alpha-omega motifs on each side (6 in total), with the Greek letters pi alpha rho in the upper right corner; the lower register is decorated with palm branches (9) and alternate busts. There are holes punched through the middle and towards the edges either two or three. Petrie suggests that the piece came from a belt or a headdress and that it can be associated with one of the northern Greek soldiers of Justinian.
