Description
Iron bracelet with a wavy-shaped band, joined by a rivot on one side; the other side is damaged; punch marks added as decoration. Probably fourth century AD or later. Late Roman (fourth century) strip bracelets from the Western provinces have similar zigzag patterns, see for example Clarke 1979 'Lankhills' cat.nos. 141 and 196; Keller 1971 'spatromische Grabfunde' Taf. 22 no. 1; and Swift 2000 'Regionality in dress accessories' Figs. 166-167.
