Description
Wax encaustic protrait on thick wood panel with pitted and burnt surface obscuring lower part of face. Young woman with dark hair wearing gold drop leaf earring in left ear, gold ball necklace (pigment missing), red garment with cream clavus border over each shoulder. Panel rectangular with deep longitudinal crack on left side, blobs of wax pigment adhering near base; back-ground khaki.
