Linen with band of purple wool woven in and over sewn with a single linen thread. In frame giving provenance Illahun. Label on back of frame states "given by Mr. Leonard Lote, author of The Fisher (Fishes) of the Nile." Framed in Oxford, according to pencilled note in old register.
