Description
Straw hat worn by Jeremy Bentham's Auto-Icon
'Low topper' style woven straw hat with a wide brim and black silk ribbon tied in a bow at back. The crown is tapered slightly towards the top and dips in the middle. One end of the ribbon is cut on the diagonal, the other is swallow-tailed. Strips of acid free tissue were stitched inside the hat band to re-inforce it in 2002.
