Description
White linen shirt worn by Jeremy Bentham's Auto-Icon.
Long-sleeved t-shaped shirt with cuffs and a finely pleated frill at the front opening, made from a plain weave white linen. Gussets under the arms and 'Bentham 3' embroidered in red silk on the right front. Three mother of pearl buttons on front opening and one mother of pearl button on each cuff. Hand stitched with a double layer of fabric on the shoulders. Fabric is gathered into the seams on the top of the sleeves, shoulders, neck and cuffs. The lower back has been cut away to allow the Auto-Icon to be fastened to the chair.
