Identification Tattoo Mark A concentration camp tattooed identification number from the forearm of a survivor. The tattoo number is one of a series known to have been applied to Hungarian Jewish women whilst interned at Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. The woman is recorded in the hospital records as having been interned at Bergen-Belsen and it is thought that she settled in the UK after the war where she had the tattoo removed by elective surgery at Middlesex Hospital.
