Description
Eight fragments of an openwork greywacke dish (green) ; A ) five fragments reconstructed to form part of rim with horizontal cord pattern in relief on exterior and interior threaded throungh and knotted at intervals, convex surface has cord line in relief from rim to trapezoidal opening; border in high relief on concave surface, outlined in cord knotted at corner; B) corner fragment of framework with cord edge, probably part of A; C) rim fragment, reconstructed from two pieces with part of another opening adjacent to rim and cord at border. Brussels E4819 os probably part of this vessel. Surface find at the royal acropolis, Abydos Umm el Qa'ab.
