Description
Seven greywacke (brown) dish fragments. A) Three pieces joined to form part of one end of rectangular dish near corner, decorated on exterior with longitudinal, parallel incised lines and two cross-binding strips in imitation of basketwork, part of three fingers of hand in relief across broken end; B) corner fragment with two binding strips, probably from the same vessel with trace of another hand at end, C) Slightly vitrified fragment which may join B; D) fragment with binding strip probably adjacent to A, E) fragment with binding strip, not certainly from this vessel, interior smooth. From Abydos Umm el Qa'ab.
