Almost complete wax encaustic portrait on wood panel of man; pigment flaked away over much of surface, but enough remains to indicate dark hair and eyebrows, left eye clearer than right, skin pink/cream, lips pink, probably moustache and stubble; wearing possible cream chiton. Longitudinal section missing from left edge (as viewed), cracked from upper and lower edges, traces of mark left by binding bandages of mummy above portrait. Left edge section and right sliver found and joined in 1994. From Hawara cemetery, body WW.
