Description
Wax encaustic portrait on wood panel of young girl with upright gold diadem on top of her head and dark, curly swept up hair; skin cream and pink, patches of green. (? undercoat) on oneck, lips deeper pink, eyes dark brown and white; remians of goldleaf on left ball ear ring and traces of five strand necklace; wearing purple/white chiton and purple haemeton with black, gold leaf-edged band on borders. Portrait in two main longitudinal fragments with a small fragment inserted at top(from Temp. No.428) in centre; back grey-blue. Traces of oiled bandages from mummy binding at top and lower edges; patch of oiled linen adhering at right lower edge, as viewd and more on back. Not marked.
