Piston recorder. Attachment for kymograph.Circular brass rod can be moved up and down triangular brass rod, which can be detached so object comes into two pieces. The circular rod has a second arm at 90 degrees, with a needle at the end, and an adjustavble knob at the other. Tip of needle discoloured, by charcoal from drum? The drum (?) at the end is made of glass, with a silver coloured metal attachment inside. This can be removed. Adjustable screw below this sticks out from the body. Below this is a tube with screw attachment? Label (see other tab) missing - 22.08.2014. Object label records it as '1 of 2', but no second part in box or in photo. Is the part with the needle '2 of 2', and missing its label?
