Plaster life mask of Professor Moritz Retzsch. Part of Robert Noel's Casts of Intellectuals series.
Cast of a man's head and neck. The cast is on a circular base inscribed with the number 4. Eyes and mouth are closed in a frowning expression. The hair is receeding and parted on the left and there are visible sideburns.
Retzsch was born in 1779 and died in 1857, he was an artist.
