Vertically mounted tube on wooden frame with coils inside. Not a transmitting valve or x-ray tube. Maybe a diode for demonstration use in a teaching laboratory. Base of valve seems to be wrapped in ASBESTOS. Asbestos confirmed as present, 2015/10/21. Comments 'The textile gaitor was sampled and confirmed as Chrysotile asbestos.
