Wax encaustic portrait on wood panel of a woman; dark hair with four rows of curls across forehead, skin dark cream/brown, lips pink/brwon, eyes dark brown and white, gold double snake earrings, gold necklace with? pearls, wearing dark red/ orange chiton with darker haematon. Portrait split longitudinally into three main sections, top edge split and section missing from top right; portion missing from lower right of central section. Damage to paint on face and neck.
