human remains, bones (human)
Beschreibung
Leg with two shins and one splint bone, all wrapped up together, and all showing unfleshing and separation of bones. From body of completely dissevered man. Right and left tibias and fibula, fibula close to left fibula. All three long bones orientated correctly (right way up). Left tibia shaft seems very thin, but measurements seem to correspond to X ray of ends of three long bones (Deshasheh pl. XXXVII). The X ray would have been taken from the other side, I.e. X-ray plate underneath, which may explain why we cannot see the bandage layers over the fibula lateral malleous (end) in the x-ray. Linen radiocarbon dated by Dr Michael Dee in 2014-2015. From Deshasheh, Tomb 115 (Double Interment which contained perfect body of child, and completely dissevered body of man covered with intact linen cloth).
