Base has 10 slots, all equal size, in 7 rows. Pressing the silver coloured trigger at the top of the box results in blades springing out. Top of 'box' has silver coloured trigger and a brass 'knob' or screw. The sides have another, smaller brass knob that appears to be a button, to release the blades once the trigger has been pulled back and locked into place. The box appears to be in two parts, that are held together with screws which go through from the sides. The upper part of the box, with trigger etc, fits into the lower section. A is stamped twice on one side, one the two different parts (to help put them back together if taken apart?).
