Ida Nettleship's sketchbook, containing studies and sketches by Nettleship, including a few by Augustus John, in various media: pencil, chalk, pen & ink, watercolour. The range of subjects include portrait studies of Gwen John; Nettleship family at the piano; Slade friends; small study of a handbag. Many pages left blank. Produced after 1881 (sketchbook maker date 1881). Annotated by various previous owners, either Dorothy Samuel or Mary Cohen.
