Fragment Jii, part of parcel J (formerly numbered by Petrie "No. 10").
Part of a folded textile. Small pieces. Medium quality, warp-faced tabby. Mainly one large irregular fragment, 2 layers in most areas, plain selveldge and "internal selvedge" both lined up over each other. LINEN: dark cream to dark beige, shattered, insect damage, worn, areas of wear away from selvedges and along plain selvedges (selvedges only intact at certain points). Some knotted threads near selvedge, not apparently remains of sewing. Yarns: s-spliced S-twisted, c. 22 per cm in warp,c.15 in weft.
From numerous linen fragments divided by Petrie into parcels numbered 1-10 (with no 4 absent) now renumbered A-J.
