Description
Upright rectangular panel with a female figure draped in a cloak, in high relief, seated to left upon a block and reading a book (W&G 36). Model for the monument to the Reverend William Saltren (d.1811) at Holme Pierrepoint Church, Nottinghamshire. William Saltren, Rector of Cotgrave, was drowned while skating at Thoresby Park.
