Portrait of Louis XVI adapted from formal portrait made in 1775, now wearing the revolutionary cap of liberty (bonnet rouge); inscribed 'Bonnet des Jacobins donné au Roi 6th [changed in pen to 20th] Juin 1792', by Noël Le Mire, after Jean-Michel Moreau, etching and stipple on paper, with background cut out, mounted on modern blue backing, 1792.
