Wax encaustic portrait on wood panel of young woman; dark hair with rows of small curls across forehead, skin cream and pink, brown eyes, lips pink; wearing plain gold hoop earrings, gold open link necklace, dark red tunic with clavus (border) over right shoulder and a cloak. Portrait broken away (?termites) unevenly across right corner, left side of face missing to chin level, one longitudinal crack on right side to base and hole on right clavicle and left panel edge.
