Black pastel drawing of a male nude, seated, with left arm raised, by Marjorie Brend, 1901-2. Recipient of Second Prize for Figure Drawing, 1902. Figure is seated on a high stool, left leg raised and bent at knee, foot resting on bar. He looks downwards and holds a staff in his right hand. Work is signed by the artist, lower left. A study of the left arm and shoulder has been made to the right of the figure and on the verso, a drawing of a standing nude figure seen from behind.
