Copper alloy ornament, Petrie suggests that it was worn as a headdress. The object comprises of 4 square and three round plates, joined by loops. The round elements bear motifs of helmeted bust, and emperor holding a globe and cross, surrounded by Greek letters EVAVWCTWPOVTI. The square plates show: an eagle holding a serpent, and a gryphon seated with a wheel beneath an upraised paw and the letter M.
