Two paper fragments, mounted in a glass frame, from two separate manuscripts, bearing Arabic writing. The smaller singed, the larger with dark brown wool string section attached, from Conservation Number 9 of treatment by Renee Waltham, 2001, after removal from corrugated card folder. Item no.9 formerly in newspaper Oxford University Gazette dated March 15 1922, presumably from the BSAE excavation at Oxyrhynchus the previous year.
