Ophthalmoscope, used for eye tests. Similar to modern ones, except it has no built-in light. Comprises wheel and fluted metal section that screws into the wheel. The top has 4 holes of different sizes and shows green, blue, yellow and red colours when twisted. Wheel controls the instrument. In wooden box. Screw at top of Ophthalmoscope (next to brass wheel) partly sticks out of case, the side is cut to allow this (by manufacturer). Lining of case is purple - felt and silk?
