Base, with feet, of wooden statuette of Mesehty, with 'rectangular' hieroglyphic inscription: 'Foremost of action, king's seal bearer, sole companion, lector of the divine offerings Mesehty'. Wooden base tending to split along grain of the wood. Purchased by Petrie (at the Egyptian Museum Cairo presumably) with other objects from the well-known tomb of Mesehty at Asyut.
