Wax encaustic portrait on wood panel of a man; dark hair in curls, skin reddish-brown, lips deep pink, eyes dark brown and white. Head faces towards right. Broken off at neck. Cream surround to portrait. Split longitudinally into three main sectiions; left and central panels complete, but right is fragmentary around edge. Damage to paint on hair and neck. (Ex Temp number 430). Marked 'BB' in pencil on reverse. From Hawara cemetery, Body BB.
