[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
Illustrated London News page.
Illustrated London News Page, with three illustrations: T.B. Macaulay, St. Bartholomew's Chapel, Kingsland, and the new laboratory at UCL, with a note at the bottom right suggesting the artist of the drawing (before the woodcut) was by J. Archer (identified as John Wykeham Archer). The new laboratory is shown from an angle that shows the door opening onto the professor's private room, with a roof held by principals of cast iron. It showcases the work of architect, Professor Thomas L. Donaldson, the "most perfect [laboratory] of its class in the Kingdom".
Built under the superintendence of Professor T. Graham, with Professor Fownes as director.
The clipping is mounted on green-ish card and held within a wooden frame with glass screen.
