The photograph depicts the Seven Seas Club (according to the pen and ink inscription on the reverse) at a restaurant (Rendezvous?) on December 15, 1933. F.G. Donnan stands at the top of the table, surrounded by guests that include Prof. Freundlich and Prof. Eastmann from Germany. The reverse of the image has an inscription (probably contemporary) in pen, and an inscription (modern) in pencil, describing the scene and the sitters. The black and white photograph is mounted on green card with grey and black decorative framing.
