UCL Inorganic Chemistry Medal, awarded to D. McDonald. Silver medal in black box.
UCL Inorganic Chemistry Medal, awarded to D. McDonald. This faculty medal was awarded to D. McDonald for lectures, 1907-8. The medal depicts a female seated allegorical figure holding a laurel crown in her hand, surrounded by latin text. The laurel motif is repeated on the reverse where it frames the inscription describing what the medal is for and to whom it is being presented. The medal is held in place with blue velvet lining, the lining on the box's lid is a cream satin-weave material, on which there is a label in gold relating the medal to the famous Wyon medallists. The box is black.
This is one of two faculty medals awarded to D. McDonald 1907-1908, they are together in the same clear plastic bag with the loose label "McDONALD'S FACULTY MEDALS / 1907-1908".
