There are six labels on the base that indicate which direction it is meant to viewed. The top three labels, in order, read ''P2'', ''C'', ''P1''. The bottom three labels, in order, read ''-'', ''No12'', ''+'', denoting which of the two bottom fittings contained a positive or negative charge. There are also three more fitting in the top half of the base. Two in each corner and one right above the five wires located in the very center of the base. These five wires are each connected to one of the five fittings, by creating holes and threading the wires underneath the wood base. The base is then raised by screwing four ceramic feet to the bottom, one on each side.
