Plaster life mask of Christophe Friedrich Von Ammon. Part of Robert Noel's Casts of Intellectuals series.
Hollow plaster cast of a man's head and neck with an open collar. The cast is on a round base inscribed with the number 2. Eyes and mouth closed, top of head bald with hair around the sides and back. Some eyebrow hair is trapped in the plaster. There are chips under the chin, on the left side of the head and on the right side of the face next to the eye.
Von Ammon was born in 1766 and died in 1850, he was a philosopher and theologian.
