Plaster death mask of Baron Karl Friedrich Von Rumohr. Part of Robert Noel's Casts of Intellectuals series.
Cast of a man's head and neck. The cast is on a round base inscribed with the number 6. The eyes and mouth are closed, the head is bald on top with hair around back and sides. The chin and upper lip are clean shaven, there is a neck beard and sideburns. There are chips on the left cheek, the right eyebrow and right cheek. There is a circular patch of damage on the back of the cast behind the neck.
Von Rumohr was born in 1785 and died in 1843, he was an art historian, culinary writer and art collector
