Results

After performing a search on the Search tab, you’ll find a list of records* that comply to that search on the Results tab.

* Each object description in a database is saved in a so-called record. So, a record contains data that belongs together because it describes a single museum object or occasionally a group of objects or specimens catalogued together.

After an Advanced search or Expert search you’ll immediately get to see a list of resulting records displaying a thumbnail image if there is one, the accession number, the object category and the UCL Culture museum or collection the object or specimen belongs to.

Click a record to display more Details of that record.

After a Simple search in more than one database simultaneously, on the Results tab you’ll first get to see a results overview of how many records were found per database, for example ‘hat’:

The list page can be printed, or downloaded as an HTML page: click on either the printer icon or the download icon in the Actions section on the left.

When you click Download the .html file is saved in your default \Downloads folder. From Windows Explorer you can open this file in a program of your choice: right-click the file and select Open within the pop-up menu to pick the desired software.
