Jeremy Bentham's spectacles

Pair of wig spectacles with round glass lenses in a tortoiseshell frame, in a red leather spectacle case with green lining The arms of the spectacles kept them in place at the temples (rather than over the ears), and could be folded out to be held in place under a wig. The are loops at the ends of the arms, one of which is broken. These could be used to attach the spectacles to the wig directly, or for tying a piece of string which could be looped around the outside.
