Black box, orange felt lining. Steel, glass, leather, tubes. early / mid 20th century blood pressure cuff (also known as a manometer). Black box with orange felt lining, remains of broken leather handle at one end.. Paper label on inside of lid of box. Metal (steel?) pump stored in lid, held in place with a catch. Pump has rust spots along body. Base of box contains a metal and glass manometer. Face of manometer shows a D shaped glass window with dial and face (0 – 20) WITH WRITING (French, see inscriptions for more details). The metal under this glass in blotchy and very dark in places. A second circular face is raised up from body of instrument with another dial, 0 – 35 with more writing in French. Again there are areas of dark / black under the glass. The body has 6 dials and valves coming off it, one of which has a rubber pipe attached to it. A second valve on the body has the end of a rubber pipe attached to it, but this is broken off. The cuff itself as a rubber inner part, which has hardened and can’t be manipulated, and is made of cotton (?) which can only be part unwrapped due to hardened rubber. Two metal valves extend off the cuff, one of which has a rubber pipe extending off it while the other has only part of a broken rubber pipe (as with the valve on the body). Much of the metal on the body shows rust spots. There is a single loose valve / connection part in the box.
