Black epidiascope in three parts. Also known as an opaque projector. Used for projecting images PART 1 OF 3: Largest part of Epidiascope. Bottom half and top half can be seperated (via undoing four latches), but a wire still connects the two (be careful when opening). Stands on four legs. Ventalation opens on back, front, side and bottom. Two dials on side named - ADJUST LAMP and EPI, DIA. One large circular lens at front, with a smaller lens below this inside a lens piece with screw thread - this lens can be moved back and forth by using a lever - c24mm movement. Metal handle at front and back for carrying, two metal rods stick out at front - for attaching parts 2 and 3. Plug attached, with three circular pins.
PART 2 OF 3: Projection objecive with a focus of 8 inches/20cm. Black metal stand with a silver lens on top. Lens has a diameter of 48mm. Contains holes and screws at the base for attachment to other parts of the equipment.
PART 3 OF 3: Works like a periscope. Contains a movable mirror at the base. An object placed on this mirror can be seen in the lens at the top. A lever controls the size of the apeture. Two columns on the side can be adjusted by turning screws.
NOTE - numbers on labels need changing to match above. Previously the main part was 3 of 2. Didn't make sense!
