The first of two frames, containing fragments of a fragmentary papyrus scroll bearing columns of demotic. Previously loose, fragments were conserved and mounted into glass in 2004. Tait, John (2018) has identified this fragments as item B7 from cartonnage head-piece B, which was in a series of eight cartonnage head-pieces found by Petrie at Rifeh; previously stored loose in paper in a large folder. This papyrus consists of one large fragment and five very small pieces.
For the excavation report Herbert Thompson identified B7 as an account relating to sacred ibises, falcons and other creatures. The list of animals are also associated with dates, as well as human personnel—perhaps in connection with the care of said animals. The ibises and falcons are both birds that enjoyed a foremost role in the animal cults so popular in Late and Hellenistic Egypt.
